Who is Elena?

Hi, I’m Elena!

My baking passion began almost 20 years ago at a local bakery in upstate New York. It was my first job in America since I moved from Uzbekistan (a place you might want to Google—it's not often in the headlines!). It was there that I honed my basic cake decorating skills. However, my true passion, who am I kidding, my obsession took flight after a trip to Paris, where I tasted my first macaron. From that moment on, I was determined to recreate this delicate queen of French desserts. Countless trials and errors later, I finally mastered these tricky treats, learning that every misstep was a step toward something so delicate and heavenly tasty.

Long before my macaron journey, I was crafting fancy fondant cakes. My first big hit was a cake for my daughter’s birthday. The joy on people’s faces was priceless and ignited a passion that had me spending many late nights in the kitchen, baking for family and friends. Witnessing their excitement as they laid eyes on my cakes encouraged me to bake more.

I balanced my sweet passion with a career in New York City Police Department until I retired in the summer of 2024. Now, I’ve settled in Myrtle Beach community with my husband and our four kids (two of them are four-legged!). I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter, bringing smiles and satisfying sugar cravings to our local community.
